~ Slow Cooker Lasagna ~

My favorite dinner of all time is lasagna. I have it every birthday without fail. Over the years, I have tried to master lasagna, and although mine will never be as good as my Mum's, After piecing together a few different recipes,I have found a version that I love, and bonus like making. It is quick, easy, and basically fool proof.

Ingredients
*2lbs of ground beef or turkey.
*2 jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce
*ricotta cheese
*cottage cheese
(I use the big container of ricotta and the medium size container of cottage)
*2 cups of mozarella cheese
*sour cream
*1 bag of spinach
*1 box of lasagna noodles (NOT the oven ready kind)

*To make the red sauce : simply brown your meat, strain, and stir in your spaghetti sauce.

*To make the cheese mixter : in a medium bowl combine the ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, 1 cup of mozarella cheese, and two generous spoonfuls of sour cream (if you love or hate sour cream feel free to add more or take away altogether.)

Assembly
(I always begin by spraying my slow cooker with cooking spray)

1. On the bottom of your slow cooker add a small layer of red sauce.

2. Add a layer of noodles.

3. Add a fourth of your red sauce

4. Add a third of your spinach

5. Add a third of your cheese mixture

6. Add a layer of noodles and
repeat red sauce, spinach, cheese mixture,

7. Add a layer of noodles and
repeat red sauce, spinach, cheese mixture

8. Add a layer of noodles

9, Add your final fourth of red sauce

10. Top with 1 cup of mozarella cheese

cook on low for 3-4 hours

~ A Car Full Of Ham and Elf On The Shelf Day Six ~

I must have looked like a crazy lady when I was loading my car at the store today. I went to the store and bought eight spiral hams. That was it. . . . well apart from a sneaky chocolate orange. It was Lilly, Hannah, my Mum, and me loading eight hams into the cart, onto the converyor belt, back in my cart, and then into the boot of my car. Yep, I got a few looks from a couple people. The strange thing was the cashier didn't ask me anything about them. It makes me wonder how many other people do this around the holidays. Before you go thinking I am crazy, they are not for me. I am organizing my Church's Christmas Party.

I must admit, the girls were amazing as we drove around Victorville, Hesperia, and Apple Valley. I am one proud Mama.

Today Hannah found Noel on a shelf with her shopping list. Noel would like candy canes, chocolates, ornaments for the tree, a new skirt, and an umbrella.

~ Snowflakes and Elf On The Shelf Day Five ~

Today, I made a bunch of snowflakes for my Church's Christmas Party. I love they way they look, but they are really time consuming.
(instructions below on how to make them)

Hannah and I took a break from my snowflake making to make some yummy pizza for dinner. She really is such a cutie.

Today Noel bought Hannah some advent calendars. This way Hannah visually see how many days are left till Santa arrives.

here is how you can make the snowflakes . . .

The most frustrating thing EVER is running out of tape on the last snowflake!
