Hanging Out At Nanny and Pop's House

For a couple weeks around Easter, the girls and I stayed at my parent's house. (Aaron joined us for Easter weekend.) The girls LOVE spending time with Nanny and Poppy, and Hannah is always so sad when it is time for us to go home. She often tells me that she misses Nanny and Poppy and wants to go back to California. It is hard being away from them, but thankfully we are only just a day car ride away. We don't go more than a couple months without seeing each other.
Here are some pictures from our trip

~ My Easter Testimony ~

Today at Church, we watched a video about the true meaning of Easter. It covered the final days of the Saviour's life.
From His suffering in Gethsemane, His Crucifixion on the cross, to His resurrection. It was so beautifully done.
I was completely moved and filled with the Holy Ghost. I know Jesus Christ willingly went through all this pain and suffering for me and for each of us. I can not comprehend the love He has for me, but I know it is real.
I love Him! I am eternally grateful for his atoning sacrifice, and I use it daily.

One of my favourite stories of Christ happens after His resurrection.
In John 20 it says : But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
I love that story!! I love that the instant the Saviour said her name that she knew it was him.

The church put out this wonderful video that I want to share with you

~ Easter ~

With Aaron being away on deployment, I do struggle with getting excited over holidays. It just isn't the same with him gone; however, I try for Hannah.
Hannah gets very excited about things which makes holidays so much nicer.

We were so lucky to be able to skype Aaron this morning, so
he could see Hannah get all her Easter goodies!!

I love how exctied she gets to talk to her Daddy.

Hannah got lots of goodies this morning.
All those goodies and she was most excited about the princess fruit snacks!

just a side note - Hannah always has the craziest bed hair EVER!
I LOVE IT!!!

Enjoying her chocolate egg : )

Already for church wearing her new Easter dress!!

Yesterday, Hannah went for an Easter egg hunt at the church.

She found A LOT of eggs!!

Easter

We picked up Aaron from the airport and headed straight up to see family for the Easter weekend. We spent the evening with my sister, Kerri, and her family.

That night we colored some Easter eggs. Hannah and Brynn did not participate in the activity of obvious reasons (they would have made a huge mess!) However, Ashlyn and Nathan had a great time :)

On Easter morning, we had an Easter egg hunt (which I took zero pics :/ ) and a delicious breakfast.

I forget what it was called but I know it had crossants in it.
I'll get the recipe from my sister.

Then we visited with Aaron's family for the day before heading back to my Mum and Dad's house for another Easter egg hunt and the most amazing lamb dinner EVER!!

all the grandchildren wore there pajamas

these are not Hannah's kite but she was very interested in them.

Here are some amazing Easter pics we had taken a few weeks earlier by Cracker Jack Photos.
I'll put a link to her facebook page here
